ONE YEAR OLDER

So my birthday was July 1th and it was the first time in years that I did not celebrated it ‘WILLEM AUGUSTUS company-style’ as three years before in a row. This year it also came with my first day as CHAIR at UCLA DMA. The night before i did go to Davey’s birthdayon the Eastside. I worked in Westwood on Tuesday and took a bus to Phillip & Donnie and had drinks and dinner with them and Kristel - then went to a crazy Karaoke and Billiard bar on Vermont and Second street. We were late so the party was in full swing in one of the many private booths with a Karaoke set. Finally saw Kellie (who was in Amsterdam with Pascual for 14 months) and many other friends. Even Euan showed up. Sang Sinatra’s ‘the way you look tonight’ and the ‘love profusion’ by Madonna. So that either means I was drunk or there was just no escape, but it was fun and hilarious. Then we went to shortstop in Echo park, was home around 4am then got woken up by what I thought was my alarm at 7 am, but it was a phone call from the Netherlands… I opened and closed my phone and thought damn it 9 am already… jumped in shower got dressed, swung my bag over my shoulder then see it is 7:15 am Anyway, did half a day in the office, then got home and slept and walked to AXE on Abbot Kinney to meet up for dinner with Ginger & Marcus, Annie & Anthony, and the boys from Useall5.
Dinner was excellent! All in all a good birthday celebration.
